Donal O’Connell

Donal O’Connell is MD of Chawton Innovation Services, who offer consultancy in innovation and IP management. Clients have included global leaders and SMEs in areas from maritime and chemicals to IT and telecoms.

Donal was formerly a VP of R&D and a Director of IP at Nokia  where is he worked in various roles for 21 years.  Donal is also the author of 2 well respected publications: “Inside the Patent Factory” and “Harvesting External Innovation.” He is currently writing a 3rd book on buying and selling patents.

He is also founding member of INTIPSA, an organisation dedicated to promoting IP strategy.
